Age Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 22 years. Candidates should be born between 01 Sep 2003 to 31 Aug 2007 (both dates inclusive) applying for post of Navik (GD).
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
Educational Qualification:
- (a) Navik (General Duty): Candidates must have Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
- (b) Navik (Domestic Branch): Candidates must have Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Pay, Perks and Others Benefits
- (a) Navik (General Duty). Basic pay of Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulations.
- (b) Navik (Domestic Branch). Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.
Promotion and Perquisites.
- (a) Promotion prospects exist upto the rank of Pradhan Adhikari with existing pay scale of Rs. 47600/- (Pay Level 8) with Dearness Allowance. Promotion to the Officer cadre is subject to suitability and performance while in service as per regulations laid down on the subject.
- (b) Other Benefits.
